The palliation of her palliated symptoms was not an easy task, even for a doctor as refined as he was said to be. She took many pills(they always reminded her of pill bugs), many caplets(she would fondly think of the tragedy that befell the Capulet's and Montague's), and dunked her head in ice water twice a day. Unorthodox as it may seem, it worked. Palliation is a tricky business, you see, and no one should take lightly the task of making the word palliate roll off the tongue. It is a word better written down than spoken.
